Pictures of the Worton Point School

After reading the article on the Kent County News website about the Worton Point School, I drove down there to find it.  Here are some pictures that were taken today.  The Worton Point School was a school for African Americans in that part of the county.  It served as a segregated school until it was closed in 1966.  It currently serves as the community center for the St. George’s Church and is being renovated into a Museum.  There is more information about that in my previous post.
