Fisk University has database of Rosenwald Schools including those in Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline and Talbot Counties

While surfing the world wide web today, I was excited to come across a database on Fisk University’s website of Rosenwald Schools, including the ones located here on the upper eastern shore.  The Rosenwald Schools, were schools for African Americans in the early 20th Century with funding from Julius Rosenwald, a New York business man.  This database was definately helpful, I wish I came across it earlier!  Kudos to Fisk University for helping document this important era in U.S History.
