WYE MILLS, Md. (AP) – The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office says one of the two drivers involved in last week’s crash involving a FedEx van and a car has since died from her injuries.

Nancy Quimby of Cordova died at Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where she was taken after the crash Nov. 11. Quimby was the head of the math department at Queen Anne’s County High School.

According to police she was driving a sedan that was struck in the side by the delivery van at the intersection of Poplar School and Grange Hall roads in Wye Mills.

Authorities say the driver of the van, Samuel Wallace of Seaford, Del., was also taken to Shock Trauma and was last listed in stable condition.

The van was not loaded at the time of the crash.

Deputies say the investigation is continuing and will be reviewed by the county prosecutors for any possible charges.
